The Sportimonium mainly focuses on the international socio-historic context of sport in Flanders and intends to protect and develop the related heritage. A large part of it consists of books and magazines. These are kept in the library and are at the disposal of the general public. The collection is based on three areas: traditional sports and games, gymnastics and modern sports.

The visitor has to consult the books in the library, after they have been located in the computerised index part is accessible via the Internet.

The library is open on Thursday and Friday from 10h till 16.30h and by appointment.
